LAKEPORT, TX

LAKEPORT, TEXAS. Lakeport, an incorporated community on State highways 149 and 322, just north of the Gregg County Airport in southeastern Gregg County, is a residential development established after World War II. The community incorporated in the early 1970s. Its reported population in 1975 was 425; by 1990 it had grown to more than 900. In 2000 the population was listed at 861.
