SUMMER HILL, TX
SUMMER HILL, TEXAS. Summer Hill was ten miles north of Athens off State Highway 19 in northern Henderson County. The settlement was evidently established before 1900. In the mid-1930s it had a school, a church, and a store. After World War II the school and store closed, and the church was disbanded. By the early 1990s only a cemetery and a few scattered houses remained.
