BASKIN, TX

BASKIN, TEXAS. Baskin, near Lancaster in southeastern Dallas County, was originally included in the Peters colony grant and first settled around 1847. In 1854 settlers from Kentucky led by A. A. Bledsoe established farms along the nearby valley of Ten Mile Creek.
