BITTER CREEK, TX

BITTER CREEK, TEXAS. Bitter Creek was settled in the early 1880s by the Montgomery and Bardwell families. The site, said to have been south of present Sweetwater, was presumably located near Bitter Creek in northeast Nolan County. No community appears there on later maps.
