ARROYO MIGUEL. Arroyo Miguel rises twelve miles southeast of Zapata in south central Zapata County (at 26°52' N, 99°05' W) and runs southwest for ten miles to its mouth on the International Falcon Reservoir, a half mile east of U.S. Highway 83 (at 26°44 N, 99°06 W). It crosses low-rolling to flat terrain surfaced by shallow to deep sandy and clay loams that support scrub brush, grasses, and cacti.
