BARTON CREEK (ERATH COUNTY)
BARTON CREEK (Erath County). Barton Creek rises five miles west of Huckabay in northwestern Erath County (at 32°22' N, 98°25' W) and runs north eighteen miles to its mouth on Palo Pinto Creek, two miles south of Lake Palo Pinto in Palo Pinto County (at 32°35' N, 98°21' W). It traverses flat terrain surfaced by deep loam that supports elms and a variety of short grasses.
