BEEF CREEK

BEEF CREEK. Beef Creek rises two miles south of the junction of U.S. Highway 96 and Recreational Road 255 in northern Jasper County (at 31°02' N, 93°59' W) and extends west for eight miles to its mouth on the Angelina River, just south of Sam Rayburn Reservoir (at 31°04' N, 94°05' W). The stream runs through woodlands characteristic of Jasper County, with pines predominating. The terrain is gently undulating to hilly at the source of the creek but levels out near its mouth.
