BEN BRANCH

BEN BRANCH. Ben Branch rises a mile southeast of Hickston in northern Gonzales County (at 29°34' N, 97°12' W) and runs 4½ miles northwest to its mouth on Valley Branch, two miles southeast of Nickel (at 29°35' N, 97°16' W). The surrounding moderately rolling terrain is surfaced by fine sandy loam that supports hardwoods, pines, mesquite, and prairie grasses.
