BIRD CREEK (KING COUNTY)

BIRD CREEK (King County). Bird Creek rises near Bateman in northeastern King County (at 33°42' N, 100°10' W) and runs southeast for seven miles to its mouth on Ox Yoke Creek, a tributary of the South Wichita River (at 33°40' N, 100°02' W). It flows beneath rolling to steep slopes surfaced by locally stony, shallow sandy and clay loams that support juniper, cacti, and sparse grasses.
