BRUSHY CREEK (STEPHENS COUNTY)

BRUSHY CREEK (Stephens County). Brushy Creek rises in extreme west central Stephens County (at 32°42' N, 99°05' W) and runs northeast for five miles to its mouth on Hubbard Creek Lake, three miles southwest of Breckenridge (at 32°45' N, 99°01' W). The surrounding terrain exhibits resistant ledges and low cuestas surfaced by shallow, stony soil that supports live oak, juniper, and grasses.
