BEAR CREEK (MCCULLOCH COUNTY)
BEAR CREEK (McCulloch County). Bear Creek rises five miles north of the Calf Creek community in southwestern McCulloch County (at 31°04' N, 99°31' W) and runs northeast for 11½ miles to its mouth on Brady Reservoir, two miles west of Brady (at 31°08' N, 99°23' W). It traverses generally flat terrain with shallow depressions and a surface of clay and sandy loams in which water-tolerant hardwoods, conifers, and grasses grow.
