CEDAR CREEK (ROBERTSON COUNTY)
CEDAR CREEK (Robertson County). Cedar Creek, also known as Big Cedar Creek, rises 1½ miles southeast of Franklin in central Robertson County (at 31°33' N, 96°28' W) and runs southeast for twenty-seven miles, crossing both Robertson and Brazos counties, to its mouth on the Navasota River, a half mile northwest of the Brazos-Grimes-Madison county line (at 30°50' N, 96°10' W). The stream is intermittent in its upper reaches. Both Copperas and Bee creeks flow into Cedar Creek. The stream traverses nearly level to slightly sloping terrain that becomes level near its mouth. The local sandy loam soils support post oaks and grasses.
