CIDWELL BRANCH. Cidwell Branch rises 2½ miles southwest of Nebo Mountain in southern Parker County (at 32°37' N, 97°44' W) and runs southwest for five miles to its mouth on Spring Creek (at 32°35' N, 97°48' W). It crosses nearly level to rolling terrain surfaced by shallow to deep clay and loam that support grasses. For most of the county's history the Cidwell Branch area has been used as rangeland.
