CLOICE BRANCH
CLOICE BRANCH. Cloice Branch (Cloice Creek) rises two miles west of Hewitt in south central McLennan County (at 31°28' N, 97°14' W) and runs northwest for 3½ miles to its mouth on the South Bosque River, near the city limits of Woodway (at 31°29' N, 97°16' W). The surrounding flat to rolling prairie is surfaced by dark, calcareous clays that support mesquite, cacti, and grasses. The stream was probably named for an early surveyor.
