COAL CREEK
COAL CREEK. Coal Creek rises a mile northeast of Willow City in northeastern Gillespie County (at 30°25' N, 98°42' W) and runs northeast for fourteen miles to its mouth on Sandy Creek, three miles southeast of Click in southern Llano County (at 30°32' N, 98°35' W). It crosses flat to rolling terrain surfaced by sandy loams that support open stands of live oak, mesquite, and grasses.
