CONEJOS CREEK
CONEJOS CREEK. Conejos Creek rises a mile south of the Uvalde county line and nineteen miles northwest of La Pryor in far northwestern Zavala County (at 29°04' N, 100°05' W) and runs south four miles to its mouth on Muela Creek, sixteen miles northwest of La Pryor (at 29°02' N, 100°05' W). Conejos is the Spanish word for rabbits. The surrounding low relief terrain is surfaced by sands and gravels. Local vegetation includes grasses, pecan trees, and other hardwoods.
