CYPRESS CREEK (TRAVIS COUNTY)
CYPRESS CREEK (Travis County). Cypress Creek rises four miles east of Jonestown in northern Travis County (at 30°29' N, 97°52' W) and runs south for four miles to its mouth on Lake Travis, eight miles northwest of Austin (at 30°27' N, 97°52' W). It traverses an area of steep slopes and benches, surfaced by shallow clay loams that support juniper, live oak, mesquite, and grasses.
