DODD BRANCH

DODD BRANCH. Dodd Branch rises eight miles southeast of Purmela in central Coryell County (at 31°24' N, 97°53' W) and runs northeast for twelve miles to its mouth on the Leon River, within the city limits of Gatesville (at 31°26' N, 97°46' W). The stream traverses generally flat to rolling terrain surfaced by shallow clay and sandy loams that support primarily juniper, hardwoods, and grasses.
