GEORGES CREEK. Georges Creek rises three miles west of Bono in southwestern Johnson County (at 32°20' N, 97°33' W) and runs southwest for eight miles to its mouth on the Brazos River, two miles southwest of the community of George's Creek in northeastern Somervell County (at 32°16' N, 97°40' W). It traverses variable terrain surfaced by shallow stony clays that support juniper, oak, and grasses. The Georges Creek area has been used as range and crop land.
