HAIRSTON CREEK
HAIRSTON CREEK. Hairston Creek rises three miles southeast of Burnet in central Burnet County (at 30°44' N, 98°10' W) and runs southwest for seven miles to its mouth on Hamilton Creek, seven miles south of Burnet (at 30°40' N, 98°14' W). The local terrain is generally flat to rolling, with local escarpments and deep dissections, surfaced by shallow, stony soils that support oak, juniper, and mesquite.
