HALIFAX CREEK. Halifax Creek rises four miles northeast of Wimberley in central Hays County (at 30°03' N, 98°03' W) and runs southeast for nine miles to its mouth on the Blanco River, 3½ miles west of Kyle (at 30°01' N, 97°56' W). The creek, which is intermittent in its upper reaches, traverses an area with limestone-based soils that support live oak and Ashe juniper trees.
