HITSON BRANCH
HITSON BRANCH. Hitson Branch rises two miles southeast of Breckenridge and just west of Farm Road 207 in central Stephens County (at 32°44' N, 98°50' W) and runs northwest for three miles to its mouth on Gonzales Creek, a mile south of Breckenridge (at 32°44' N, 98°53' W). It traverses an area of rolling hills, surfaced by clay and sandy loams that support scrub brush, mesquite, cacti, and grasses.
