HONEY CREEK (CORYELL COUNTY)

HONEY CREEK (Coryell County). Honey Creek rises two miles northwest of Purmela in northwestern Coryell County (at 31°29' N, 97°58' W) and runs east for six miles to its mouth on Plum Creek, a mile southwest of Levita (at 31°30' N, 97°54' W). It traverses an area of steep slopes and benches, surfaced by shallow clay loam soils that support juniper, live oak, mesquite, and grasses.
