HOGG BRANCH
HOGG BRANCH. Hogg Branch, also known as Hogg Hollow, rises 5½ miles north of Richland Springs in northwestern San Saba County (at 31°21' N, 98°55' W) and runs north for five miles to its mouth on Wilbarger Creek (at 31°25' N, 98°55' W). It traverses an area of moderately to steeply sloping hills with live oak, mesquite, Ashe juniper, and grasses growing in clayey and sandy loam soils.
