HARRIS BRANCH. Harris Branch rises near the Palo Pinto Mountains in west central Palo Pinto County (at 32°43' N, 98°25' W) and runs north for seven miles to its mouth on Ioni Creek, 1½ miles south of the Brazos River (at 32°48' N, 98°25' W). It traverses an area of rolling hills surfaced by clay and sandy loam soils that support scrub brush, cacti, mesquite, and grasses.
