HOG CREEK (COLEMAN COUNTY)
HOG CREEK (Coleman County). Hog Creek rises six miles north of Coleman and two miles west of U.S. Highway 283 in north central Coleman County (at 31°57' N, 99°26' W) and runs two miles northeast to its mouth on Jim Ned Creek, six miles north of Coleman (at 31°59' N, 99°25' W). It flows beneath steep to gentle slopes and benches surfaced by shallow clay loams that support juniper, live oak, mesquite, and grasses.
