LIVE OAK CREEK (ERATH COUNTY)

LIVE OAK CREEK (Erath County). Live Oak (Liveoak) Creek rises (at 32°08' N, 98°14' W) in southern Erath County six miles south of Stephenville and runs southeast for six miles to its mouth (at 32°05' N, 98°09' W) on the North Bosque River, three miles west of U.S. Highway 281. The local terrain of steep slopes and benches is surfaced by shallow clay loam that supports juniper, live oak, mesquite, and grasses.
