LIVE OAK CREEK (TOM GREEN COUNTY)
LIVE OAK CREEK (Tom Green County). Live Oak Creek rises just east of the Sterling county line in northwestern Tom Green County (at 31°36' N, 100°47' W) and runs east for ten miles to its mouth on the North Concho River, just northwest of Carlsbad (at 31°37' N, 100°41' W). The surrounding flat to rolling terrain is surfaced by clay and sandy loams that support water-tolerant hardwoods, conifers, and grasses.
