LAXSON CREEK

LAXSON CREEK. Laxson Creek rises 4½ miles northeast of Medina in central Bandera County (at 29°52' N, 99°13' W) and flows southeast for 7½ miles to its mouth (29°46' N, 99°11' W) on the Medina River 3½ miles southeast of Medina. It flows through Edwards Plateau and is characterized by flat limestone formations with localized dissection surfaced by shallow, stony soils to clay loam that support open stands of live oak, Ashe juniper, and mixed grasses.
