LITTLE BEAR CREEK (HAMILTON COUNTY)

LITTLE BEAR CREEK (Hamilton County). Little Bear Creek rises a mile west of Midway in north central Hamilton County (at 31°43' N, 98°13' W) and runs northeast for five miles to its mouth on Bear Creek, two miles north of Hamilton and one mile east of State Highway 36 (at 31°46' N, 98°10' W). The stream is intermittent in its upper reaches. It traverses variable terrain surfaced by shallow, stony clay loams that support juniper, oak, grasses, chaparral, mesquite, and cacti.
