MESQUITE CREEK (HAMILTON COUNTY)

MESQUITE CREEK (Hamilton County). Mesquite Creek rises near Hoover in the northwestern part of Hamilton County (at 31°42' N, 98°19' W) and flows northeast for twelve miles to join Waring Creek near Gentrys Mill (at 31°46' N, 98°14' W). The stream crosses terrain with steep slopes and benches and shallow clay loam soils that support juniper, live oak, mesquite, and grasses.
