MILL CREEK (BURNET COUNTY)

MILL CREEK (Burnet County). Mill Creek rises two miles northwest of Briggs in northeastern Burnet County (at 30°54' N, 97°57' W). Intermittent in its upper reaches, the stream runs northeast for twelve miles to its mouth on the Lampasas River, two miles west of Maxdale in Bell County (at 30°59' N, 97°51' W). Steep slopes and benches of the area are surfaced by shallow clay loams that support juniper, live oak, mesquite, and grasses.
