MINITA CREEK

MINITA CREEK. Minita Creek rises just south of Interstate Loop 410 in southern Bexar County (at 29°19' N, 98°28' W) and runs southeast for three miles to its mouth on the San Antonio River, 1½ miles west of Southton (at 29°18' N, 98°27' W). The creek is dammed midway through its course to form Lake Cassin. It traverses rolling terrain surfaced by clay loam that supports mesquite and grasses.
