MUSTANG CREEK (JOHNSON COUNTY)

MUSTANG CREEK (Johnson County). Mustang Creek rises in northwestern Johnson County (at 32°30' N, 97°35' W) four miles southeast of Cresson and runs northeast for eight miles to its mouth (at 32°36' N, 97°29' W) on Benbrook Lake, in Tarrant County four miles southwest of Primrose. The local terrain is variable and is surfaced by shallow, stony, clay loams that support juniper, oak, cacti, and grasses. The Mustang Creek area has been used as range and crop land.
