PLUM CREEK (WILBARGER COUNTY)

PLUM CREEK (Wilbarger County). Plum Creek rises (at 34°04' N, 99°15' W) in central Wilbarger County a mile east of U.S. Highway 283 and runs north for about five miles before joining the Pease River (at 34°10' N, 99°13' W) four miles east of Vernon. Plum Creek traverses flat to rolling terrain with some steep slopes and with a surface of deep sandy loams that support mesquite, brush, and grasses.
