SANDY CREEK (MCLENNAN COUNTY)
SANDY CREEK (McLennan County). Sandy Creek rises in eastern McLennan County (at 31°30' N, 96°54' W) two miles northeast of Riesel and runs southwest for thirteen miles to its mouth (at 31°22' N, 96°57' W) on the Brazos River six miles northwest of Marlin in Falls County. Low rolling to flat terrain is surfaced by clay and sandy loams which support scrub brush, cacti, and grasses.
