SHAW CREEK (MILLS COUNTY)
SHAW CREEK (Mills County). Shaw (Shaws) Creek rises six miles south of Goldthwaite in southern Mills County (at 31°23' N, 98°32' W) and runs southwest to its mouth on the Colorado River (at 3l°20' N, 98°35' W). It crosses steep slopes surfaced by shallow sand that supports juniper, scattered oak, and grasses.
