SIXMILE CREEK (LLANO COUNTY)

SIXMILE CREEK (Llano County). Sixmile Creek rises four miles northwest of Oxford in central Llano County (at 30°37' N, 98°45' W) and runs north for twelve miles to its mouth on the Llano River, six miles west of Llano (at 30°44' N, 98°46' W). It traverses an area of the Llano Basin characterized by flat to rolling terrain, locally dissected and covered by soils ranging from sandy to clay loams. Vegetation consists primarily of open stands of live oak and mesquite.
