SQUIRREL CREEK (COOKE COUNTY)

SQUIRREL CREEK (Cooke County). Squirrel Creek rises 1½ miles north of Muenster in western Cooke County (at 33°41' N, 97°22' W) and runs eastward 3½ miles through an unnamed reservoir to its confluence with Dry Elm Creek east of Muenster (at 33°40' N, 97°19' W). The terrain through which Squirrel Creek flows is variable, and native vegetation consists of juniper, oak, and various grasses in soil that is composed of shallow, stony clay loams.
