STRAIGHT CREEK. Straight Creek rises eight miles northeast of Stephenville in Erath County (at 32°19' N, 98°14' W) and runs northeast for six miles to its mouth on the North Paluxy River, two miles southwest of Morgan Mill (at 32°22' N, 98°12' W). The steep slopes and benches of the area are surfaced by shallow clay loams that support juniper, live oak, mesquite, and grasses.
