SWAGER CREEK

SWAGER CREEK. Swager Creek rises ten miles northwest of Albany in northwest Shackelford County (at 32°46' N, 99°25' W) and runs northwest for eleven miles to its mouth on the Clear Fork of the Brazos River, eight miles north of U.S. Highway 180 (at 32°52' N, 99°32' W). It crosses flat terrain with local shallow depressions surfaced by clay and sandy loam that supports water-tolerant hardwoods, conifers, and grasses.
