SPRING CREEK (WILBARGER COUNTY)

SPRING CREEK (Wilbarger County). Spring Creek rises where U.S. 283 crosses the Wilbarger county line in northeast Baylor County (at 33°51' N, 99°09' W) and runs southeast for eight miles to its mouth on the Wichita River, four miles east of Lake Kemp (at 33°47' N, 99°05' W). It flows beneath moderately steep slopes with locally high relief, surfaced by shallow to moderately deep silt loams that support mesquite and grasses.
