WEST MUD CREEK
WEST MUD CREEK. West Mud Creek rises in southeastern Tyler just west of Farm Road 2964 in central Smith County (at 32°19' N, 95°17' W) and runs southeast for twenty-one miles to its mouth on Mud Creek, four mile northeast of Mixon in Cherokee County (at 32°07' N, 95°10' W). It crosses flat to rolling terrain with some local steep slopes, surfaced by a light-colored sandy loam with occasional clay that supports pine and hardwood forests.
