WILBURN BRANCH. Wilburn Branch rises two miles northwest of Marysville in northern Cooke County (at 33°48' N, 97°21' W) and runs south for two miles to its mouth on South Fish Creek, just north of Marysville (at 33°46' N, 97°21' W). The surrounding rolling prairie is surfaced by expansive clays that support oak, juniper, and grasses. For most of Cooke County's history, the Wilburn Branch area has been used as range and crop land.
