WILLOUGHBY CREEK. Willoughby Creek (Branch), rises two miles north of Mullin in northern Mills County (at 31°36' N, 98°40' W) and runs six miles southwest to its mouth on Pompey Creek, four miles southwest of Mullin (at 31°33' N, 98°44' W). The surrounding steep slopes, with an elevation of 1,300 to 1,400 feet above sea level, are surfaced by shallow, sandy soil that supports juniper, scattered oak, and grasses.
