WOOTEN CREEK

WOOTEN CREEK. Wooten Creek rises two miles west of Concord in southeastern Rusk County (at 31°54' N, 94°41' W) and flows southwest for seven miles to its mouth on the East Fork of the Angelina River two miles west of Sulphur Springs church (at 31°53' N, 94°45' W). The creek traverses flat to rolling terrain surfaced by sandy and clay loams that support water-tolerant hardwoods, conifers, and grasses.
