WEEDY CREEK

WEEDY CREEK. Weedy Creek rises 1½ miles east of Coy City in western Karnes County (at 28°50' N, 98°01' W) and runs southwest for twenty-three miles to its mouth on the Atascosa River, eight miles north of Three Rivers in north central Live Oak County (at 28°34' N, 98°13' W). The stream traverses flat to rolling terrain surfaced by clay and sandy loams that support water-tolerant hardwoods and grasses.
