WALNUT CREEK (HENDERSON COUNTY)
WALNUT CREEK (Henderson County). Walnut Creek rises just south of downtown Athens in central Henderson County (at 32°12' N, 95°51' W) and flows southwest for fourteen miles to its mouth on Cedar Creek, one mile south of Trinidad (at 32°07' N, 96°04' W). The creek traverses flat to rolling terrain surfaced by sandy and clay loams that support water-tolerant hardwoods, conifers, and grasses.
