BALD MOUNTAIN (STEPHENS COUNTY)
BALD MOUNTAIN (Stephens County). Bald Mountain is nine miles southeast of Breckenridge in southern Stephens County (at 32º36' N, 98º50' W). It has an elevation of 1,488 feet. The surrounding landscape features rugged hills and scarps surfaced by shallow, stony, sandy loams that support post oak, grasses, and chaparral.
