DALTON MOUNTAIN. Dalton Mountain, 6½ miles southeast of Gatesville within the boundaries of Fort Hood in Coryell County (at 31°21' N, 97°42' W), has an elevation of 1,358 feet above sea level. The surrounding terrain is sloping to hilly.
